Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has accused his opponent, Wavinya Ndeti, of avoiding public scrutiny by declining to participate in televised debates.
Dr Mutua questioned why the Wiper candidate skipped a debate on KTN on Wednesday.
Ms Wavinya was absent during a similar forum, attended by Mutua and Lemi Muia, also a governor candidate, last week. But Ndeti said she could not participate as she has yet to launch her manifesto.
"My obligation being foremost to the great people of Machakos, it's only right that I first present my vision to them," she said.
