A Wiper Party candidate for Kibwezi West Constituency was charged with creating disturbance.
James Mbaluka was arraigned before Senior Resident Magistrate Gerald Mutiso. He denied that on July 10, he disrupted a meeting at Mulala presided over by the Assistant County Commissioner’s office.
The meeting was to register elderly residents for a State cash transfer programme. Mbaluka was released on Sh20, 000 bond awaiting a mention of the case on July 30.
Shortly after the court session, Mbaluka’s supporters clashed with those of the immediate former MP Patrick Musimba at Makindu market.
