NASA coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has said he will respect the people’s verdict on the August 8 elections.
Mr Odinga had been challenged leaders in the ruling party to come out clear on whether he will accept the outcome of the elections.
“In the unlikely event that I do not win, I will respect the people’s decision,” said Mr Odinga.
He said his dream to become president is not a life and death matter and it is not a must that he becomes head of state.
On his political ambition given that it is his last shot at the presidency, the ODM party leader says he will make a personal decision after the elections.

According to him, there are roles one could play as a leader of a party including being a political advisor.
He termed Jubilee party’s pledges as empty talk and that they were lying to Kenyans that SGR would be built beyond Naivasha, where he says the project heads straight into property belonging to the Kenyatta family.
Mr Odinga during the interview on Radio Maisha said he together with retired president Mwai Kibaki did 40 percent of the grand project, the current government only came to construct the rail.
He said ODM party and PNU formed the coalition government and deserve taking credit for the Standard Gauge Railway.
“The coalition government had the thought, did the feasibility study, design and contract awarding. Jubilee came in, and cancelled the tender only to re-advertise the tender which they later awarded to the same firm but inflated the costs because of corruption,” said Mr Odinga.
Raila identified the LAPSET project as larger than the SGR but said it had stalled because the government had ignored it together with the special economic zones they had proposed during the coalition government’s tenure.
