Two cabinet secretaries have defended the country's disciplined forces from claims that they will be involved in rigging elections in the upcoming General Election.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery and Defence Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo said members of the National Police Service and Kenya Defence Forces(KDF) have been trained to be impartial and there is no way they can be involved in politics.
National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential flag- bearer Raila Odinga early this week claimed Jubilee.
Nkaissery who spoke during the closing ceremony of the ''Dumisha Utulivu'' initiative at Embakasi Barracks, said security agents are professionals and they do not take sides in political contests.
"The constitution of Kenya mandates members of the security forces to ensure every Kenyan is protected in exercising their democratic duty of voting. That is the only way they can be involved in elections," he said at the function, which marked the end of the training for over 600 security agents.
