A new twist of events after the death of Nairobi’s prettiest gangster

Police officers say that they are in a dilemma about the posts on social media concerning the murder of Kayole gangs.

A good number of them say that they are not aware of who runs those accounts but they believe that it is done by police officers.

After the shooting and injuring an Administration Police Constable, Kennedy Nkune, attached to a State House Administrative Secretary, before stealing his Ceska Pistol loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition Hessy came into the limelight with warnings that he posted to two criminals, warning them to shun crime.

Known variously as “Hessy wa Kayole”, “Hessy wa Huruma”, “Hessy wa Dandora”, “Hessy wa Eastlando”, depending on the location of the criminal he is preying on, the real identity of the shadowy character remains a mystery even within the police service.

He warns criminals, not once, not twice but several times in chilling public posts on social media, in a language they understand most — Sheng. His favourite tagline: “Utajua Hujui.” (You will know that you are not smart.)

 The unidentified cop said that Police in Nairobi have profiled Mwanii, the husband of the Claire Njoki- Nairobi's prettiest thugs is the most dangerous robber who is heavily armed.

According to him Mwanii once served in the General Service Unit (GSU) and has friends who are still serving in the force and who keep him up-to-date with police operations that is why he has elusively escaped police traps.

Additionally, he said that Mwanii lures young boys and girls to conduct robberies with him or on his behalf, using guns that have been stolen from police officers.

According to police officers, the undercover police officers who are expressing themselves on social media are doing so because their efforts to arrest criminals have been compromised by the courts because the courts releases the criminals after their arrest.

They further revealed that the gangs raise money to secure the freedom of their colleagues and once they are out they eliminate police officers and members of the public during their missions.

The officers also noted that undercover police attached to slums where the rate of crime is high do not receive enough reinforcement to enable them crack down on illegal guns and arrest suspects.
