Hands-on practical training has put the country's premier hospitality training in a class of its own. Most of the leading luminaries in the industry were trained at the school.
This underpins the place of the school in sustaining the country's competitiveness in the global market. However, since the state reduced funding to the school and the expiry of Swiss sponsorship, the institution is overstretched financially. It is therefore, prudent that the state reviews funding to the school upwards.
An enhanced financial support will enable the institution upgrade the physical infrastructure to meet the current trends. Also the curriculum delivery will be improved particularly the practical component of training.
