Teso South MP Mary Emaase wants the electoral commission to publish the list of registered voters in each constituency.
She said this would eliminate cases of rigging during nominations and the forthcoming General Election.
“This will make it easy for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), political parties, as well as aspirants to address rigging where we have witnessed more people than the registered electors voting,” said Emaase.
This came in the wake of a controversy over the exact number of registered voters in Teso South and Teso North during the ODM nominations.
“There is a need for the electoral commission to gazette the figures of registered voters in all constituencies so that in case they are exaggerated, there will be somewhere to refer to,” Emaase said.

Funyula MP Paul Otuoma recently contested the ODM nominations, accusing Governor Sospeter Ojaamong of exaggerating the figures from the constituencies.
Ojaamong insists Teso South and Teso North have 67,000 and 52,000 voters respectively, claims Otuoma has dismissed.
