Residents of Elgeyo Marakwet who have migrated to Eldoret town have expressed their confidence in the leadership of Governor Jackson Mandago who is facing a stiff challenge from new entrant Bundotich Buzeki.
The residents have expressed their admiration for Mandago's work which has seen Eldoret town acquire a new stature due to improved infrastructure.
It will not, however, be a smooth ride for Governor Mandago as his close challenger has used every arsenal at his disposal to wage a political fight.
The support of residents of Elgeyo Marakwet who have made Uasin Gishu home has come as a big boost for the incumbent governor, Mandago who is highly likely to retain his seat.
Critics of Buzeki feel that he is being fronted by other powers to unseat Governor Mandago for personal gains against the interest of the people.
