The quest for a Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in one ward of Busia County took another turn last week after the sitting MCA decamped Amani National Congress (ANC) Party for Wiper party leaving his arch political rivals to restructure their political forays ahead of the General Election, slated for August 8th this year.
It is alleged that political cartel had been orchestrated by one MCA aspirant who had staged two aspirants from the incumbent MCA’s backyard to weaken his stronghold and cause chaos during ANC’s nomination party primaries.
One of the aspirants was to jostle his political foray in Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and the other one ANC ticket.
Sources privy to this information further indicate that he was tipped off about the planned political weaponry and after consultation, he decamped to Wiper Party.
His arch political rivals and critics are now back on the drawing board, pondering on the next move after their planned strategy was thwarted. Since the incident took place, the political tremors have subsided as aspirants are planning to exit before the nomination dates.
