Former Uriri MP Cyprian Omollo Ojwang, who has been campaigning to return to Parliament, has died.
His son Josiah Ayieko confirmed that the politician died Friday morning: “It is with deep regret that I inform you of the death of the former MP at the Nairobi Hospital.”
Migori Governor Okoth Obado sent his condolence message to the family, terming him a “selfless servant leader.”
Migori ODM Chairman Phillip Makabong’o and North Kanyamkago MCA George Omamba extolled the former MP as a peace-maker. Ojwang is survived by two wives and seven children.
