Three people died in separate incidents in Siaya County and police have launched investigations. In one incident, the body of a Form Two student was found hanging in his parents’ home in Ugenya Sub-county on Thursday. The deceased, Vincent Onyango, a student at Inungo Secondary School, allegedly committed suicide after he was suspended from school.
“The boy had an argument with the school watchman who reported him to the principal before he was suspended; we suspect this could be the reason why he took away his life,” said Patrick Oduor, a relative.
Elsewhere, police in Bondo are investigating the death of a 12-year-old pupil from Maranda Primary School, who was found hanging on barbed wire.
“We have taken the body to the mortuary and await a postmortem to establish cause of death,” said Siaya County Commissioner Josephine Onunga.
And the body of Boniface Ouma, 24, was found dangling from the roof of his house after he allegedly committed suicide at Kanyibok village.
