Soon after celebrated gospel singer Eunice Njeri revealed on instagram about her marriage to rapper Izzoh that never happened, a section of Kenyans have been left with many questions on their mind.

The two are said to have dated for two years before the rapper proposed and married Esther. That is the average time most couples date and it is enough time to learn atleast the most important traits about your partner. Raising the question of why wait till the last minute to call off an uncomfortable relationship? From dating, to proposal to wedding planning and finally walking down the aisle in the presence of family and friends only to call it off a few hours later. What did she see on that wedding day? What did she hear about her to-be husband? What did she learn about him or his family that made it so uncomfortable for her to carry on with the marriage? Was it the reality of moving to a new country that she feared most? Was it the American sex culture that made her nervous or was it culture shock? But then again, how many women are like her, stuck in their unhappy marriages because they are not brave enough to leave? How many women wish they were not in that marriage? How many feel their wedding day was a mistake? Even marrying the man you are with was a mistake? I am so sure many wish they were as brave as she was.

If it’s really bad, and you are sure from the bottom of your gut that you are making a mistake that will cost you your entire life, PLEASE LET IT GO HONEY. We all make mistakes, and that was Njeri's mistake, which she realized and corrected it the best way she knew how to. She probably is happy and at peace now.

Choosing a marriage partner is the second most important decision you will make in your entire life after salvation.
