Maseno University is mourning the death of a student following a tragic road accident along Ayego Rapodi road in Migori County on Saturday evening.
Joseph Nyagweno was a second year student taking Agricultural Extension and Education. The student is believed to have been on his way back to school.
News of his demise went abuzz in social media with students sending their messages of condolence.
SOMU Secretary General, Linus Sang, eulogized the lad in the students Facebook account moniker C.P.P CAMPUS POLITICS.

Another Facebook user Dennis Kayimba spoke fondly of deceased saying “It hurts to learn that a friend you are fond of is no more. It pains me to admit that the young man I shared the same high school with is dead.”
We had not received any official communication from the administration before filing this story.
This comes in a span of two weeks after another student was murdered in Mabungo under mysterious circumstances.
The demise of the student is viewed as a blow to School of Agriculture for losing two students in a row.
