Dhaka town turned into a blood city after Muslims celebrated the Islamic festival Eid al-Adha by slaughtering animals.
The government had set apart kill zones but heavy rains made it impossible for residents to slaughter their animals in the open thus opted for garages and car parks.
The heavy downpour washed the blood through the city streets making it a bloody affair in the islamic town.
Eid al-Adha being the feast of sacrifice saw cows, goats and sheep slaughtered in celebration of prophet Ibrahim faith after he was asked by Allah to slaughter his only son but latter on Allah provided a lamb to be slaughtered.
Muslim faithful mark this celebration every year by slaughtering livestock and sharing with family, friends and the poor.
