As Jubilee plans to launch the new party on Saturday, it's all systems go for the ruling party and its affiliates as we approach next year's elections.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy have crafted the art of public perception management and its working well for them.

However, I am worried about the Opposition and their tactics to counter the ruling coalition's plans. It's evident that Jubilee is way ahead and the Opposition cannot reach or match the spontaneous and witty Jubilee rat.

The ODM's 10th birthday to be held in Mombasa is just a waste of time, and it's not a working strategy.

As the electorate, we should be seeing plans on how to identify the coalition's flag-bearer and how to bring home the defecting leaders.

Jubilee has scored despite the shortfalls, and we know as a nation that most of the campaign pledges have not been fulfilled but they still command the support.

The electorate wants leaders they can connect with, not leaders who copy paste and seem to be chasing others.

The Opposition think tank should sit down and re-strategise how to approach the campaigns and next year's elections unless they want to be defeated by nine o'clock in the morning.

The CORD Mombasa rally will attract crowds because it's in the Opposition's stronghold. The crowds will be there and the support will be massive, but will that translate to votes?

Jubilee is already penetrating CORD's strongholds and recruiting its foot soldiers to the Government, whether they are bought or not, promised jobs or lured doesn't matter.

The important thing is the ruling coalition is becoming a force to reckon with, an inclusive group of both the old guard and young chaps.
