A man in God Jope village in Suna East Constituency left villagers in shock after he was found in a compromising situation with a cow.
The man took off and went into hiding when he was found engaging with a cow belonging to his neighbor in a sexual act.
The owner of the cow, Akila, said, his wife had gone to move his cow to another spot when he found the man in the act, half naked with the cow.
According to Akila, his wife let out a loud scream that attracted several villagers to come witness the ungodly act.
“My wife said she tried her best screaming and wailing to alert the villagers who streamed at the bush,” Akila said.
He addressed the villagers as he held the trouser up with a stick for people to see, Akila said the man fled the scene leaving behind his trouser and undergarments.
The chief of God Jope claimed that the man was an embarrassment to their community and such acts could not be tolerated.
The chief said that the man had just been released from prison after serving a rape sentence
“I think this man is being haunted with demons. It is just the other day that he was convicted of rape,” said the chief.
This incident left the Manyatta area residents awestricken about the man’s unbecoming behavior as the man has a wife and children.
This forced Village elders to hold an impromptu meeting to deliberate on procedures of a cleansing ceremony of the man’s home.
“We have never seen this in this village since we were young. This is a taboo that needs cleansing to protect the kids from this curse,” a village elder who will oversee the cleansing rites said.
The area chief said that anyone who would give information that would lead to the capture of the man would be rewarded a goat. The chief urged the area residents to stick to upright morals to spare the community of being cursed by the gods.
