A man hanged himself following a disagreement with his wife over finances.
Benjamin Achola, 41, is said to have packed his wife’s belongings after the two differed and ordered her to leave, but she refused.
Achola, who hails from East Asembo, Siaya County, then left the house only for his body to be found in the morning.
East Asembo Chief Erick Okal confirmed the incident.
“After the wife failed to leave the house as ordered, he woke up at around 4am and left the house only for his body to be found hanging from a tree,” said the administrator.

The body was discovered by his step-mother at around 7am hanging from a tree in the cowshed. She stumbled on the body when she went to check on her animals.
Mr Okal said Achola did not leave a suicide note, making it difficult to establish why he hang himself in his step-mother’s compound.
It is said that on Sunday after attending church where he is an official, he handed over his office and other financial documents.

The body was moved to Madiany Sub-County Hospital mortuary.
And in Homa Bay County, police are looking for a 35-year-old man who stabbed his wife for allegedly planning to divorce him.
The suspect stabbed the wife, Millicent Osana, at Ramula trading centre in Kabondo Kasipul constituency on Tuesday evening.
The couple is said to have been having domestic quarrels for a long time that led to them living separately.
The wife, an employee of the county government, rented a house at Ramula trading centre. She worked as a revenue collector.
“The woman used to stay at the centre while the man was home with the children,” a witness said.
On the fateful day, the man left home with a knife, which he used to attack the woman in her house at around at 7.40pm. Ms Osana was admitted at Ramula Sub-County Hospital with serious injuries.
