Jubilee leaders have lashed out at Opposition leader Raila Odinga for claiming pastoralist zones are CORD strongholds.
Governor Moses Lenolkula termed Raila’s claims as misleading as far as the pastoralist vote is concerned.
Jubilee and CORD seem to be fighting control over the pastoralist vote.
The Opposition claims to be enjoying support of the voting block, and accuses Jubilee of plotting to indirectly weaken it’s position by forminga new party for pastoralists.
The politicians, who included nominated senators Naisula Lesuuda and Beatrice Elachi, Samburu Woman Representative Maison Leshoomo and Kaijado West MP Moses Ole Sakuda also criticised Raila for not informing the governor of his visit to the county.

Proposed Party
The politicians were speaking at a funds drive in aid of youth projects at Maralal Allamano, a day after Raila addressed residents at Kenyatta Stadium. They raised Sh5 million.
During his visit, Raila criticised the proposed formation of a new political party to champion for pastoralist interests saying the move was initiated by Jubilee leaders to weaken his support among pastoralists who, he claimed, have supported him in the past.
“I would like to tell him that Samburu is a Jubilee zone so he should not waste his precious time looking for votes,” said Ms Lesuuda.
Mr Sakuda cautioned residents to be very careful about politicians misleading and inciting people.
