Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has pledged to pump Sh200 million towards development of youth projects in the city.
Speaking after handing over a Greenhouse Project to Focus Progressive group in Njiru, Kidero urged the youth to form groups of ten, in which they would be given Sh200,000- to fund a project of their choice.
Separately, the governor also launched a Sh13 million Mini-Milk Processing Project in Ruai, which aims to reduce the hawking of unprocessed milk, contamination, adulteration and spoilage.
Groups that will benefit from the milk processing project include Shauri Moyo Disabled Self Help Group, Kamukunji, Kena West CBO, Westlands, Kasarani Dairy Self Help Group, Roysambu, Umoja Dairy Self Help Group, Dagoretti and Chakula Tele Self Help Group.
