With majority of youths educated and aware of their place in society, there has been a clamour for old leaders to step aside. But there are many questions in my mind. Can the younger generation indeed bring about the anticipated change?
It is worth noting that a number of youths now hold various political positions? For instance in the National Assembly, county government and the Senate. A few have shown true leadership but some have been trending in the media for the wrong reasons.
We are living in a dynamic world where change is inevitable. But, with some young leaders already failing to provide what the public needs, is the society ready to let them lead?
It sad to note that majority of youths have been exploited for ages. They will be hired to commit crime, destroy property and even kill for money. Then how will they behave when they are the ruling elite?
