• Homework allows students to develop research skills since they review and practice what they have been taught in class. This also enhances their use of the library and other reference resources.
• Homework encourages students to explore subjects deeper than they do in class thus preparing them for the next class. The next class becomes more meaningful and understandable since teachers give homework to reinforce things already taught.
• Through homework, a parent is able to keep tabs on what their child is learning in school. It is thus that parents stay informed about class/school activities and policies.
• Homework has the ability to bring parents and teachers closer together. It is the bridge that joins schools and parents.
