A group claiming to be legitimate owners of a disputed piece of land in Embakasi, Nairobi have presented petition papers to Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.
The Dupoto and Dafur settlers are seeking title deeds for 168 acres of the land.
They say they want answers as to why the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) will be constructed on land that the National Lands Commission had allocated to them since they were squatters.
The Government has offered a payoff of Sh2.5 billion to relocate those who will be evicted during construction of the railway even as 28 different groups claim the land.
