A woman alleged to have mutilated her boyfriend’s private parts has appealed to the court to grant her bond.
Valentine Mugure is charged with severing her boyfriend’s body parts last week at Game Rock village near Nyeri town.
The prosecution on Tuesday last week requested the court not to grant her bond until they establish the complainant’s condition.
And Monday, the prosecution said investigations are now finalised and that the case is ready for hearing.

The court granted Mugure a bond of Sh100,000 with surety of a similar amount but she requested for free bond saying she and the complainant are in talking terms.
She also requested the court to supply her with the witness statements to enable her prepare for the hearing set to start later this month.
Resident Magistrate, John Aringo ordered that Mugure be supplied with the witness statements.

The court also ordered that a probation officer make inquiries on the application made by the accused before the court issues further directions on the matter on June 24 this year.
It is alleged that Mugure attacked her boyfriend after they differed over missing Sh5,000 that was meant for rent.
Mugure will be remanded at Nyeri GK prison.
The case will be heard on June 29 this year.
