Ford Motor Company has confirmed that the new Ford Figo hatchback sedan will be available on the Kenyan Market in the next few months. It will be sold by CMC Motors Group Ltd. In a statement, the company said the new Figo will offer style, smart technologies and high levels of safety, while retaining the auto’s established reputation for fuel efficiency and overall value.
It is designed with innovative features for both the five-door hatchback and a new four-door sedan, with fuel efficiency establishing its reputation. Ford General Marketing Manager Tracey Delate said the Ford Figo has been a remarkable success story since it was launched in South Africa in 2010.
She explained that the Figo’s strong price point, smart features and the option of fuel-efficient petrol and diesel engines, made it one of the top contenders in the Sub-B segment - a size class of automobiles defined by European Commission rankings, adding that last year, it held an average 15-per cent share of this segment.
For the first time, the Figo will be available in two body styles, including the familiar five-door hatchback as well as a new four-door sedan.
