An anti-graft lobby wants corruption to be declared a national disaster.
The National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering Committee (NACCSC) says the cases of mega corruption that have been mentioned in the media are disturbing and action must be taken against those adversely mentioned.
Speaking in his office Friday, the committee chairman Archbishop Eliud Wabukala, called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to take stern action before things get out of control.
"Time has come for all mentioned in corruption to face the law...," he said.
He said the country must stop glorifying the corrupt by bestowing on them positions of responsibility. He said NACCSC would be established in all 47 counties to enable stakeholders fight the monster of corruption.
