It seems promoters are willing to break the bank to get Davido to sign on as the headline act.

The Nigerian hitmaker, who is being hosted by SkyHitz Global promoters, was paid Sh 7.3 million ($80 000) for an upcoming show in Nairobi!

Is he really worth that much?

“He is Africa’s only BET, Channel O and MTV award winner. In fact, we got a discount because we have worked with him in Malasya in the past,” Shaffie Lasie, director of SkyHitz told Heads Up.

The Nigerian superstar will be entertaining Nairobians on March 28 at the Carnivore grounds.

He will be headlining the launch of the Afrobeat Festival in Kenya.

Popular for hits like Skelewu, Aye and the Number One collabo with Tanzania’s Diamond, tickets for his show range from Sh3,000 to Sh10,000.

This is the second time that the scruffy voiced singer will be performing for Nairobians. He was one of the headline artistes at the Boombata Festival in 2013.
