Eldoret, Kenya: A middle aged man went berserk and set ablaze a house after he allegedly caught his wife having sex with a pastor in a maize plantation at Chebarus in Uasin Gishu County.

Eliud Sang, a farmer, says he was walking home from a nearby trading centre and he decided to pass through a neighbour's maize plantation when he found the two in the act.

It is alleged that the pastor, identified as Daniel Menjo, ran away from the scene leaving behind the woman who was attempting to put on her clothes.

The preacher at Repentance and Holiness Ministries Altars is married and has three children with the youngest being a two-weeks-old. The two have ran away from the area.

"I had come home earlier during the day to have lunch but I found the house locked and the keys were not in the place that we usually leave them. I went to the neighbours to ask if they had seen her and I was told that she had gone to the river to do laundry," said the bitter man.

Sang explained that he went to the river to get the keys but his wife was not there forcing him to go back to the trading centre to have lunch.

He noted that after he came back from the centre, he chose to use an alternative and shorter route to reach home and that is when he found the two making love and in a swift burst of anger, he did the destruction.

"I had in the past suspected foul play because my wife had been insisting on going alone to cut grass for our animals from this farm," the farmer said.

Sang acknowledged that he burnt down the pastor's grass thatched house and destroyed the iron roofing of another house.

Evaline Jelagat, the sister to the pastor, said that they feel embarrassed by the incident and criticized the preacher for being adulterous.

"He should have at least opted to look for an unmarried woman than do such with another man's wife," she quipped.
She added that that she and they found a used condom at the scene of the alleged sexual encounter.

Paul Sang, a village elder, called on church leaders to seek divine intervention.
