Kilifi county Member of Parliament (MP) Aisha Jumwa was recently heckled by a crowd in Malindi for opposing the referendum calls.
She is among the seven MPs and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) rebels from Coast who oppose party leader Raila Odinga and the push for Pesa Mashinani.
However, all the 53 County Assembly Members and Governor Amason Kingi are in support.
In spite of the hostile reception, Aisha said she is ready to lose her seat for opposing calls to amend the Constitution.
Jumwa arrived late at a meeting called by Kingi to issue ambulances and garbage collection vehicles.
