Funyula MP Paul Otuoma has castigated a section of the Members of the Busia County Assembly for issuing statements that could divide the county along tribal lines.
Speaking at Bujwang’a Secondary School during a meeting with various stakeholders from his constituency, Dr Otuoma said leaders should desist from making inflammatory statements and embrace dialogue for the sake of unity and development.
“I want to warn MCAs who are keen on dividing the county along tribal lines that we shall not allow them because Busia is a cosmopolitan region and all the people living here must be respected,” said Otuoma.
He said individual differences among MCAs should not be construed to be a community position.
