Nairobi, Kenya: A househelp was gang-raped during a robbery incident in Githiga, Nairobi.
Police said a gang of five attacked and carjacked a manager with a bank in Westlands as he drove to his compound before they forced their way into his house on Wednesday night.
In the house, the gang ransacked for cash and valuables, and then raped the househelp. The bank manager was hit and injured in the forehead, right elbow and right thigh using a sharp object.
Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said they are yet to know why the gang decided to abuse the woman even after robbing the man.
“We are working with our colleagues from Kikuyu where the incident happened to ensure these rapists are arrested,” said Mr Kibue.
