Nairobi, Kenya: A man and his two children were Wednesday night burnt to death in a fire incident in Githurai estate, Nairobi. The three were sleeping in their house in Majengo when the fire broke out.
Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said his officers have launched investigations. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be established.
“We are yet to know how the fire broke out. The victims were sleeping at the time of the incident,” said Kibue.
Elsewhere, Nairobi police have recovered a pistol with eight bullets in a toilet at an entertainment spot in a city estate. Police say the pistol was abandoned in the toilet and was discovered by a client of the club - Jam Rescue - on Wednesday night.

The reveller alerted the bar management before police were alerted. Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said they suspect a thug abandoned the weapon there by mistake and a hunt for him is on.
“We have checked our records and established it is an illegal gun. We are trying to establish who the owner could be and it is believed the man or woman forgot it there,” he said.
The discovery disrupted business at the bar before police were called to collect the weapon.
Meanwhile, a suspected thug was shot dead in Mukuru slums and a pistol recovered from him on Wednesday night.Police were trailing the suspect who tried to escape into a nearby river. Police said he had been on their radar for days.
Escaped death
The killing brought to 10, the number of suspects who have been killed by police since Monday.
And on Likoni Road, a businessman escaped death, after he was shot seven times by suspected gangsters on a motorbike on Wednesday night. The motive of the shooting is yet to be established because.
Police have intensified their war on armed crime. Cases of armed robbery have been on the rise in the city leaving police struggling to contain them.
