Nairobi, Kenya: A controversial and popular pastor was Monday night carjacked and robbed of his gun and Sh320,000 in an attack in Mwiki, Nairobi.
Pastor John Nduati of God’s Power Church in Ruaraka told police he was driving home when he was suddenly blocked in Mwiki area and later carjacked by four gunmen.
The gunmen first bundled him to the backseat of his salon car and drove around Mwiki while robbing him.
Nairobi Area police boss Benson Kibue said the pastor told them the gang later drove him to Mihango area in Dandora where they dumped him after robbing him of the pistol that had 13 bullets and cash. He was not hurt in the attack.

Nduati, a self-proclaimed AIDS healer, is a licensed gun holder. He told police he was from Thika town at about 7.45 pm when the incident happened.
Police said they have launched investigations into the incident.
Nduati once claimed that he can cure AIDS, which made his church popular.
But many of his followers, especially those who had the virus and had hopes of healing, were later disappointed after they realised the claims were not true.
