A medical officer at Mandera Referral Hospital said the injured man is in a critical condition but stable condition.
The County Police commander added that the man will be airlifted to Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized treatment.
Mwivanda said preliminary investigations established that the shooting could be as a result of job rivalry since the two are said to be masonries.
“There are reports that the two have been competing with local masons for building jobs and they are said to be winning more jobs than the locals because their work is dimmed to be more professional,” said Mwivanda.
