Makueni, Kenya: Pupils of Mukuku Primary School in Mbooni East district in Makueni County are learning under canvas tents after strong winds destroyed their classrooms.
Strong winds swept through the Mukuku village and blew off the roofs of the classes and the administration block and left several families in the village homeless following the Sunday tragedy.
Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao regretted the incident and assured residents that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) will look into the matter with view to reconstructing the damaged classes.
He said he had sent the CDF committee to visit the school and access the damage to enable planning of the next cause of action.
