Kenya: A public-private sector partnership aimed at stepping up vigilance against vandalism along the multi-billion shillings Thika Superhighway has been unveiled.
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has partnered with Leacom Media to put up banners and billboards at strategically visible spots along the busy superhighway to increase awareness on the menace.
The sensitisation programme targets the public to report cases of vandalism or suspected vandals in a bid to curb what is turning out to be a major disfiguring of the country’s foremost carriage.
“We are soon launching a hotline number for members of the public to report cases of vandalism spot-on, including other social media platforms where Kenyans can upload such pictures,” said Leacom Media Operations Manager Eng Paul Warutere.
