Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi has filled three more slots at the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) board as he seeks to constitute a full team.
Kambi has appointed Andrew Gichamba Muigai, Veska Jepkemboi Kangogo and Eng Erastus Mwongera, making the number of trustees seven out of nine.
Three were appointed under gazette No.188 dated January 13 for a period of three years.
Kangogo, a human resource management expert, who has been working for the Local Authorities Providence Fund is said to have been picked instead of United Republican Party official Leah Naikinae, who missed on the list as she does not qualify under Section 6 of the NSSF Act. Given that Kambi picked Muigai and Kangogo, his next move will be to pick the third person, who is widely expected to be the chairman of the board of trustees.
