Homa Bay: A Tanzanian who allegedly murdered a widow he had inherited in Homa Bay County has been arrested.
The man, only identified as Steve, was arrested when he visited his friend in Nyabasi village, Kuria West district, Migori County on Wednesday evening. He was taken to Kehancha police station awaiting transfer to Homa Bay Police Station.
Homa Bay OCPD Francis Kumut said his officers had investigated the presence of the suspect through a mobile phone signal, which led to his arrest. “We sent our officers who collaborated with our colleagues in Kuria West to have the man apprehended. We are waiting for him to be transferred here so as to get more information before he is taken to court,” Mr Kumut said.
Last Saturday, a cloud of grief engulfed Rodi Kopany Township in Homa Bay district, where the inheritor allegedly murdered Beatrice Anyach in her house.
