Kenya: Wiper Democratic Movement now wants Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama and Governor Alfred Mutua to stop discussing their differences in public.

This came as the party’s two-day retreat kicked off in Naivasha with differences between the two leaders under discussion.

Addressing the press, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka said the two had no option but to work as a team. He  said the issue is being discussed at higher levels, adding that a lasting solution is in sight.

“We plan to hold a meeting on December 16 between the two leaders for a lasting solution,” he said.

The former vice-president said Machakos Bishop Martin Kivuva and other religious leaders in the region were leading the reconciliation talks.

On the differences between former PM Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo downplayed the issue and called on Bungoma residents to re-elect Moses Wetangula.
