Two men sentenced to life in jail for defiling five-year-old girls. |

Kabarnet, Kenya: A Kabarnet court has sentenced two men to life imprisonment for defiling five-year olds and another to 10 years in jail for attempted rape.
In the first case, Kabarnet Senior Principal Magistrate Samson Temu found Joseph Sumukwo guilty for defiling his five-year-old niece.
The court heard that on August 1, at Kiptala village in Baringo North District, he asked the minor to take him food to his house where he defiled her.
The court heard the minor reported the incident to her mother.

She rushed the minor to Kabarnet District Hospital where she was admitted for five days after medics found injuries in her privates.
While delivering the ruling, Temu said that the evidence adduced before court by the witnesses and the medical report proved beyond any reasonable doubt that the accused committed the offence.
In the same court, Elijah Kimayai was also convicted to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling a five-year-old girl in Loboi, Marigat District.
The court heard that on June 24, at around 11pm, the accused defiled the minor in her bedroom.
The same court also sentenced a middle-aged man to 10 years imprisonment for attempting to rape his neighbour’s wife.
The court heard that on July 28, at Tiriondonin village in Baringo North, James Cheptarus went to neighbour’s house and attempted to rape his wife.
