Nakuru, Kenya: An administration policeman suspected to be behind a spate crime in Nakuru town has been charged with 11 counts of robbery with violence.
Daniel Kipkoech Rerimoi alias Edwin Kipkoech Rerimoi was charged before Nakuru Chief Magistrate Samuel Mungai with three separate counts.
In the first case, Kipkoech was charged that on July 16, this year, at KCB Menengai branch in Nakuru, while armed, he robbed Kennedy Koech of Sh800,000 and two mobiles phones.
Kipkoech denied the charge and was remanded at the Central Police Station to allow the police to complete investigations and will appear in court on December 3.

In another file, Kipkoech was charged with committing eight counts of robbery with violence at Mercy Njeri along Nakuru-Kabarak road on November 23.
Kipkoech denied violently robbing Jennifer Rotich of a motor vehicle, Nokia phone and gold-plated watch among other valuables all valued at Sh1.35 million.
He also denied violently robbing Salome Muthoni, George Nganga, Loise Njoki, Ann Waithera, Hellen Njeri, Jedida Wambui and John Mwaura all passengers aboard a matatu from Nakuru town.
The officer was also charged with raping Njoki and Wambui during the robbery. The case will be heard on January 15, next year.
