A former Kenya Defence Forces officer and an alcohol brewer have been arrested in Homabay County for attempting to murder an assistant chief.
The two suspects were arrested in Homa Bay following police investigations.
The suspects are alleged to have contributed greatly to an incident in which three youths assaulted Jackton Olielo, 47, an assistant chief for Arujo Sub-Location at his home in Homabay County.
Eyewitnesses said the suspects invaded the administrator’s home at about 8.30PM on October 19, and chopped his left hand at the wrist. Olielo is currently recuperating at a Nairobi hospital.
