Siaya County: Siaya gubernatorial candidate William Oduol has dismissed allegations that he is a “project” for the Jubilee coalition.
Oduol assured that nobody had sent him to confuse voters in Siaya and that he belongs to the National Agenda Party of Kenya (NAPK), which is not in Jubilee.
“Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) members feel they are exposed and that is the reason they are going all the way to say NAPK does not belong to CORD,” he said.
Oduol said it is defective to allude that the campaigns in Siaya were a war between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga.

“It is very wrong to say campaigns in Siaya are a war between Uhuru and Raila, yet the two contested in the March 4 polls,” he said.
Speaking to The Standard on phone, Oduol wondered why he should be associated with another coalition when he is contesting for the top seat in Siaya.
He said there were only three aspirants on the ballot paper in the October by-election.
Those cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are the former governor, Cornel Rasanga, Oduol and Dr Noah Miguda Winja, an independent candidate.
Oduol said his party has been and is still an affiliate party of Cord.
This comes days after Cord leaders maintained that the coalition has only one candidate in the gubernatorial by-election set for October 17.
On Monday, Oduol challenged his opponent Rasanga to sell his policies to the voters instead of relying on others to campaign for him, adding that he would surprise him at the ballot.
“NAPK has been and is still in Cord, and saying that it is not a friendly party is just cheap politics that will not take the propagandists anywhere,” Oduol said.
