Laikipia, Kenya: The woman who was stabbed by her husband over accusations of infidelity in Laikipia West district has succumbed to injuries at Nyahururu district hospital.
She succumbed to injuries at around 5 pm on Tuesday evening.
After the incident, the husband to the deceased committed suicide by drowning himself into water well within his compound.
Mrs Jane Njeri was referred to Nyahururu from Ndindika health Center because she had sustained deep cuts.

According to Ngarua DO Rufus Kihara, Njeri had sustained deep cuts on her head and hands.
“The woman had been referred to the hospital after receiving first aid from Ndindika health center but the doctors have informed us that she succumbed to the injuries moments after reaching the hospital. They told us that she had lost a lot of blood,” Rufus said.
The man is alleged to have been involved in domestic wrangles with the third wife forcing them to separate.
And it was on Tuesday that she called her saying that he was ready to solve their differences.
“To her shock, the man picked up a panga and stabbed her several times before jumping into a 30 feet well filled with water. He died on the spot, “the DO said.
The bodies have since been moved to Nyahururu district hospital mortuary.
