Bureti, Kenya: Five men who allegedly raped a 40-year-old woman at Chebaibai market in Bureti district on Monday night have been arrested.
Police said the suspects had been drinking at a local pub with the victim when one of them followed her when she left before dragging her into a tea plantation and allegedly began raping her.
The rest of the gang are said to have joined and allegedly raped the hapless woman in turns until dawn before leaving her for death but was luckily rescued by passersby.
Ngororga sub-location Chief Ezekiel Langat said the woman was found lying unconscious and naked by members of the public at around 5 am Monday.
