Section of Mai-Mahiu Highway blocked after trailer accident

Naivasha, Kenya: A section of Nairobi-Mai Mahiu Highway has been blocked after an accident involving two trailers.

The section near Italian Catholic church is completely blocked and there is major traffic snarl up at both sides of the road.

Naivasha OCPD Charles Kortok has urged motorists to use the Nairobi-Nakuru highway as they clear the blocked section. However, it is only small vehicles that will be allowed to use the alternative route.

Hundreds of motorists are still stranded on both sides of the affected road.
