Giant Chinese telecoms firm Huawei has launched its ICT Competition 2019-2020 version and over 2000 Kenyan university students have already registered.
The contest that includes Network and Cloud tracks provides a world-class stage for 'electronic brain' students to showcase their tech prowess.
Winners of the national finals will lock horns with other students from over 100 universities across Africa before taking part in the global finals in China.
Participants also have a chance to win internship opportunities, trip to South Africa and China, exam vouchers, smart devices like laptops, phones, and watches.

Huawei has been working with universities like Strathmore, Multimedia and Catholic University, to promote the contest.
The deadline for registration is 31st October 2019.
The previous Huawei ICT Competition saw two Kenyan teams achieve second place in the regional level tying with Angola, while Nigeria and Tanzania tied on the first place.
The Kenyan teams were made up of five male students and one female. ?
