Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has emerged as the most energy efficient company after winning the 2019 Energy Management Award.
The awards seek to promote excellence in energy management by recognising companies that have made significant cuts in their energy consumption without negatively affecting their output.
KBL also bagged five more awards during a ceremony held in Nairobi.
The awards marked the end of a three-day conference organised by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers and the Ministry of Energy with the aim of encouraging competitiveness in energy efficiency and conservation among manufacturers.
Energy Efficiency is one of the initiatives that KAM has put in place to drive Kenya’s green economy.
