Kenya's indigenous hotel group, Pride Inn Group of Hotels has appointed veteran Ms Lucy Macridis as its Sales Director.
Making the announcement yesterday, Pride Inn Group of Hotels Managing Director, Mr Hasnain Noorani said that Macridis has been appointed to steer the group's strategic plan as it eyes opening at least 10 new hotels by 2021.
''Macridis will be responsible for developing the group’s sales strategies and operations for PrideInn and its Key accounts as well diversification strategy in the seven out of eight hotels,'' he said.
Hasnain who is also the chairman of the Coast Tourism Working Group described Lucy as a very seasoned hotelier who is joining Pride Inn Group as the group gets ready to venture in other counties.
“I am confident that Ms Lucy Macridis will excel in her new role and will ensure a tighter coordination of our sales operations to better serve our customers and meet our market goals,” said Mr. Noorani.
Lucy has been tasked with implementing and managing the sales activities, identifying new market opportunities in East Africa region and defining the actions required to bring a new dynamic to hotel business and generate new growth within the hotels.
Macridis has extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, with the last 10 years spent in senior management positions both in Local and International chains.
She joins the group from dusitD2 Hotel in Nairobi where she was the Director of Sales and Marketing, her responsibilities included management of the sales and marketing strategy, the international business, growth of the team and development of their skills.
Pride Inn has continued to aggressively expand and invest in new hotels along the coast with plans to take the brand to new economic blocs in Africa in the long-term.
