Dr David Nyekorach-Matsanga is a man of many lives. His experience, knowledge in politics and International peace led to the coming up with a peace agreement to have the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) and the government of Uganda two long-time adversaries move closer to signing a peace agreement.

He was born and educated in Uganda, where he worked for the Ugandan government from 1980 to 1985. Matsanga then left his country to settle in the United Kingdom where he is with his wife and eight children.

He holds an MA in Political Science International Relations and PhD in Political Science (Conflict Resolution) from London Guidhall University.

A journalist and a political scientist, Matsanga has published several publications including Democracy in Uganda: A Myth or Reality, Agony of Land in Zimbabwe; and Which Way Zimbabwe.

Matsanga analyses African Political issues with Sky News and several television and International Radio.

He is also a part time don and an independent election observer in several countries including Yugoslavia, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.

Known for his fervour to air out issues and his oratory skills, Matsanga is now running for top office in a country previously ravaged by war and conflict and bogged down by corruption and chronic nepotism. He has an uphill task of ensuring that the Uganda that was the pearl of Africa restores its lost glory.
