Pomp and colour decorated the Elite Brands Awards International held on Friday at a Nairobi Hotel.
The event that brought together various companies and individuals from across Africa, spotlighted excellence, innovation, and leadership across diverse industries.
Organized by Jubilant Stewards of Africa, the awards recognized organizations and individuals who not only excel in their respective industries but also demonstrate an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on society.
Executive Director at Jubilant Stewards of Africa Jared Oundo, expressed pride in the success of this year’s ceremony, emphasizing that the awards reflect a deep commitment to recognizing industry leaders who go beyond the expected to make meaningful contributions to their sectors and communities.
“We are honored to host the Elite Brands Awards International here in Kenya. This event is not just a celebration of individual and organizational achievement; it is a recognition of the tireless work and dedication that drives progress across various industries,” said Mr. Oundo.
The keynote speaker Dr.Ekrah Ndungu the Chairperson Kenya National Association of Private Colleges (KENAPCO) said that every award that was presented to the companies tells a story of perseverance, commitment, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
“In Kenya, we are a nation built on the foundation of resilience, creativity, and the drive to overcome challenges. The journey toward success is not always easy, but it is the ability to rise above obstacles, innovate, and inspire others that makes these individuals stand out,” she added.
Maono Lands limited CEO James Kinyua said that they have faced a lot of challenges this year due to taxes that has forced cost to go up.
Kinyua who is also the Chairman Association Real Estate of Kenya said that there was an increase on stamp duty that was initially 2% and currently is at 4%.
“We request the government to check on taxes so as not to create loopholes that see most of the realtors choose the backdoor hence corruption,” he added.
He said that the economy was not well hence affecting the sector as the business are not able to access finances to have development.
He called upon Kenyans to do due deligence once they want to buy land and properties.
International companies led by Davies Kabuswe the media owner Sun Holdings Limited Broadcasting expressed gratitude after winning the award.

The event saw the recognition of various prominent companies and institutions in multiple sectors, including Micro-finance sector media ,educational institution,Banks,Spas,transport,hospital among others.
